Gina Gregory, age 66, of Micaville, found the arms of the God who created her at midnight on Saturday, February 5, 2020.
Gina was a lover of everything in nature; her home, her gardens, her cats, her cats, her neighbors and, of course, her sister and best friend, Gayla. More than anything on this earth though, Gina loved God and the precious time she was given to praise and worship Him.
She never met a stranger, was a friend to all, and was never at a loss for words to tell everything about her Savior, Jesus Christ. According to her pastor, “Gina was such a light! Had every reason in the world to complain about everything…. and didn’t complain about anything!” Gina was a light!
Born in Livermore, CA, Gina came to the mountains of Western NC via Phoenix, AZ, and never looked back; as far as she was concerned, she was home. As of midnight Saturday, Gina was truly home!
Three sisters survive Gina: Gayla Hurley of the home, Denise Callahan (Bobby), and Patricia Campbell, both of Livermore, CA. She is also survived by her special nephew, Michael Flowers and his family of Ft. Worth, TX.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23rd at Liberty Covenant Church in Micaville and at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 24th at First Baptist Church of Spruce Pine.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Compassionate Care WNC at 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
