Alexander Deimetri Somerset, age 49, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 7th, 2022. A native of Martin County, Florida, he was a son of Susie McIntosh of Jacks Creek and the late Rivers Somerset who passed away in 2010.
Alex was a very artistic person who loved to draw and paint. He was also a handyman and a welder who was passionate about his former job with Young & McQueen. He had a great deal of respect for the military, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
Surviving in addition to his mother and ‘stepfather’, Susie McIntosh and Fred Soler, is his wife, Jennifer Calhoun Somerset; a daughter, Serina Somerset of Burnsville; sons: Alexander Deimetri “A.J.” Somerset, Jr., Shane Siefert and Sean Siefert, all of Burnsville; four grandchildren: Ariella Robinson, Ezekiel Robinson, Shaeleigh Siefert and Killian Seifert; siblings: Teddy Somerset of Florida, Lisa Somerset (Scotty Harrison) of Florida, Kevin Somerset (Carol) of Florida, and Bobby Somerset (Mary) of Forest City, NC; and a special uncle, Raymond Wooden, of Burnsville. He is also survived by several other extended family members.
