Yancey County Sheriff’s Department inmates have been busy picking up litter. They collected several hundred pounds of discarded trash on Windy Gap Road. As a result, deputies charged an individual with littering on Windy Gap Road. Sheriff Hilliard is tasking county inmates with the cleanup of side roads in the county.
