Ella Josephine Willis, age 73, of Burnsville, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, NC.
Ella was born May 13, 1948, in Mitchell County, NC to the late Paul Alexander Willis, Jr. and Laura Boone Willis. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Paula Willis.
Ella retired from Baxter Healthcare. She was very outgoing with a larger-than-life personality and very opinionated. Ella enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. She liked to get together with her friends at the Senior Center in Burnsville for bingo. Ella loved her family and adored spending time with her grandchildren. Other than her son and grandchildren, Ella loved her cat, Sparky, more than anything.
Those left behind to cherish Ella’s memory are her son, Charlie Teague (Debra) of Auburn, AL; two siblings, Judi Street of Forks of Ivey, and Paul Willis III (Karen) of Beaufort, SC; and two grandchildren, Grayson Teague, and Bethany Teague of Auburn, AL
Celebration for life will be held at a later date.
