Harrison Glenn, age 84, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.
Born in Mitchell County on October 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Rev. Lloyd Glenn, Sr. and the late Eula May Mace Glenn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Garofalo..
Harrison was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a carpenter by trade and loved his carpentry work. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Betty Cloud Glenn; his sons; Michael Ray Glenn and Harrison Robert Glenn both of Spruce Pine; his brothers; Lloyd, Jr., Harold, and Lawrence Glenn all of Spruce Pine and Chestley Glenn of Kentucky; his sisters; Virginia Biddix of Spruce Pine and Leslie Brewer of Bryson City; and his grandchildren; Kiley, Jonathon, Lori, and Anna.
Graveside services and interment will be in the Glenn family Cemetery on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Lawrence Glenn officiating. Military graveside honors will be provided by Sgt. E.L. Briggs Chapter #57 D.A.V.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to the Glenn Family Cemetery Fund in Care of, Lloyd Glenn, Jr.
