38 year old Adam Mathis of the Green Mountain community appeared in court on June 6th to be sentenced on multiple charges. Mathis was sentenced to 117 to 153 months with 40 days jail credit, in the custody of the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections. Mathis had been arrested 15 separate times from October of 2020 through May of 2022. Nine of those arrests occurred in 2021. Most of those were drug-related charges.
