Chester “Buddy” Glenn Turner, age 49, of Burnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 22nd, 2022 at his home.
A native of Tampa, FL, he was a son of Wallace and Susan Willis Turner of Inverness, Florida. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Deinna Turner.
Chester was a US Marine Veteran having served in the Kuwait Elaboration and Desert Storm. He was a very wise and fearless man who was a wonderful example of what a father should be. He was a jokester and made friends wherever he went. Chester worked for HFK Concrete Pumping for 11 years. He played football in high school, was a very hard worker, an avid sports fan for the Atlanta Braves, the Buccaneers, Florida State University and the Crimson Tide. He will always be remembered as a loving son, father and friend.
Surviving in addition to his parents, Wallace and Susan, is his sons: Alexander Turner and wife, Patricia, of Green Mountain and JT Isham of Burnsville; daughter, Susannah Lynn Turner of California; step-grandchildren: Lilly and Madison Zimmerman of Georgia; brother, Wesley Turner and wife, April, of Orange Park, FL and a nephew, Bodhi Turner also of Orange Park, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 26th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
