Gloria Flowers, 75, of Elk Park, NC, formally of Tallahassee, FL, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2022.
Gloria was born on November 1, 1946 in Florida where she lived and worked most of her life. Gloria was retired from the State of Florida and she worked part time at Piccadilly’s Cafeteria as a waitress for many years, where she treated her customers like family.
Gloria really enjoyed watching old movies especially westerns. You could ask her about a movie and she could tell you who all starred in it. She also enjoyed watching QVC and the Home Shopping Network. Gloria loved playing cards and she would never turn down a good card game, no matter what time it was. However, 1st and foremost she found so much joy and pleasure in spending time with her family.
Gloria is preceded in death by her mother, Avon Branch Robinson who passed away in 2015 and a sister, Nancy Branch who passed away in 2016.
Gloria leaves behind to carry on her memory her three sons: Michael Flowers of Crawfordville, FL, Billy Flowers and wife, Teresa Flowers, of Elk Park, NC and Bobby Flowers of Bristol, TN; six grandchildren: Amber Flowers and fiancé, Avery Shell, of Elk Park, NC, Tamara Sexton and husband, Nathan Sexton, of Elizabethton, TN, Ryan McFalls of Hampton, TN, Courtney Flowers and fiancé, Matt Vearil, of Crawfordville, FL, Chase Flowers of Punta Gorda, FL and Annabelle Flowers of Punta Gorda, FL and eleven great-grandchildren. Numerous cousins and friends also survive to carry on her memory.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
