Conley Miller, age 76, of Mine Creek Road in Bakersville, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2022 at The Greens of Spruce Pine
Born was born October 14, 1946 in the Relief community of Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Vester and Sylvia Bennett Miller. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Willard., Wade and Odis Miller and his sister; Joyce Church.
Conley was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Bakersville. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp that served in the Vietnam War where he earned several citations while stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam. Conley was a born again believer who was not ashamed to admit it. After military service, he was employed by Owens Illinois Glass Company in Lakeland, FL as an electrician. Later he moved to the Mine Creek community of Mitchell County after a stroke and heart attack. He spent the last two years of his life in Brian Center Health & Rehab in Spruce Pine.
Left to cherish his memory is his brothers; TJ Miller and wife, Judith of Bakersville, Pete Miller of Florence, MO, Mauuel Miller and wife, Mary of Lakeland, FL, Erbie Miller and wife, Debbie of Lakeland, FL; and his sister; June McKinney of Hickory, NC.
A brief funeral service for Conley Miller will be on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home with a brief eulogy by his brother, TJ Miller and song by Sharon and Jessica Jones. Interment will be at a later date.
