Wallace Burns Boone, age 84, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Hoy and Nola Wyatt Boone.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Freeda Boone; as well as his brothers: Alvin Boone and Bruce Boone.
Wallace was a life-long member of Crabtree Baptist church where he served as Deacon for many years. He loved spending time with his family members, life-long friends, and his church family. His gentle spirit, kind heart, and caring soul will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Steve Boone and wife, Lois; sisters: Gladys Hughes and Sylvia Caroway; grandchildren: Chelsea Boone, and Brett Boone; a great-grandchild, Josie Johnston; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Crabtree Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC. The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Chad Wise will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Crabtree Church Cemetery.
