Mitchell Sheriff’s Arrest Report 4/21 – 4/28/24

(Press Release from Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department.  Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.)

Arrest:

Haley Reanin Hodge, 21 of Elizabethton, TN. Lieutenant J. English arrested Hodge for felony malicious conduct by a prisoner, misdemeanor child abuse, resisting arrest, injury to personal property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, intoxicated and disruptive. She was issued $15,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court.

Justin Tew, of Bakersville, NC. Lieutenant S. Davis arrested Tew for failure to pay child support. He was issued $1,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court.

Brandon James Leach, 39 of Bakersville, NC. Lieutenant S. Davis arrested Leach for misdemeanor second degree trespassing. He was issued $1,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 5/8/2024.

Leonard Everett Wilcox, 58 of Spruce Pine, NC. Mitchell County Deputies arrested Wilcox on the finding of a true bill of indictment, for habitual felon. He is scheduled to appear in court.

 

Citations issued:

Jeffery Adam Hopson, 41 of Bakersville, NC. Deputy T. Silvers cited Hopson for operating a motor vehicle, while the defendant’s driver’s license was revoked. He is scheduled to appear in court on 6/12/2024.

Silvestre Hernandez Sanchez, of Weaverville, NC. Lieutenant D. Holmes cited Sanchez for operating a motor vehicle, without due caution and at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger persons or property and failing to yield at an unsafe speed. He is scheduled to appear in court on 6/12/2024.

Jason Corey Jones, 43 of Spruce Pine, NC. Deputy T. Brewer cited Jones for consuming a malt beverage in the passenger area of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court on 6/12/2024.

Richard Gonzalez-Parra, 20 of Asheville, NC. Deputy D. LaPlante cited Gonzalez-Parra for operating a motor vehicle, without having in full force effect the financial liability required by law. He is scheduled to appear in court on 5/8/2024.

Gabriel Dewayne Gardner, 20 of Bakersville, NC. Deputy T. McNinch cited Gardner for operating a motor vehicle, while displaying a fictitious license number plate. He is scheduled to appear in court on 6/12/2024.
