A strong contingent of wrestlers from Mitchell County attended the Carolina Beach Wrestling Nationals and World Team Qualifier, and came away with some impressive results.
As a team, Western Carolina Wrestling Club earned a team runner up finish, with Carolina Elite of Jacksonville taking the top honors.
WCW had four individual champions three runner up finishes, and several third place showings.
Jayko Erwin continued his strong spring, adding another event title to his resume, along with Bryson McFalls, Camron Cook, and JayceeMae Erwin.
Noah Burke, Joslynn Cook, and Clayton Geouge all picked up runner up finishes, while Madison Morales Jaysin Erwin, Zion Stewart all finished 3rd.
