Marvin Alton King, age 66, of the Green Mountain Community, passed away at his home on Friday, October 11th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Gudger King and Ethel Ingle Williams. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his best friend and former wife, Martha Cashion who passed away in 2022; granddaughter, Jasmine Lee; grandson Aiden Seth; and several other brothers and sisters. Marvin loved camping and fishing. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch and listening to gospel CD’s.
Surviving is his daughters: Erica King and Amanda King; 8 grandchildren: Skyler, Shane, Daniel, Malachi, Ariel, Josh, Bella, and Aurora; sister-in-law, Mary Ingle and her husband, Bill; and nephews, Steven and Chris.
An at home memorial service will be announced at a later date.
