Milton Guy Buchanan age 79 passed away Monday November 11, 2024, at the Yancey House in Burnsville. Born in Avery County, he was a son of the late Robert and Judy Johnson Buchanan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Glenda Lewis, Diana Buchanan and Helen Hughes and brothers, David and Junior Buchanan.
Milton worked many years for Jack Wisemans Christmas Tree farm, and he loved being around people.
Left to cherish his memories is his sons, Daniel Buchanan and Mark Buchanan and wife Selena all of Spruce Pine, daughters Missy Griffith and husband Ricky of Spruce Pine and Sarah Boggs of Hickory. Sister, Etta Mae Jones and husband Mack of Morganton and his grandchildren, Eric and Brent Griffith, Zack, Triston, Blaze, Garrett, Kelly, Jonathon, Cortney and Angel Buchanan and Michael Boggs.
A graveside service for Mr. Buchanan will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday November 14, 2024, in the Ashley Cemetery in Newland.
