Loyd James Silvers, age 88 of Burnsville, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Greens in Spruce Pine, NC.
A native of Yancey County, he was born on April 19, 1936, to the late Avery and Lydia King Silver.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine Silvers; brothers: Neely Silvers and Junior King; sisters: Ruby Stump, Lola Radford, Ruth Spivey, and Bertha Harwood.
Mr. Silvers is survived by his loving sisters: Helen Robertson, Billy June Laws, and Shirley Dockery.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Ray Cemetery on Possom Trot Road in Burnsville, NC.
