Bob Hise, 81, of Dallas Young Road in Bakersville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at The Green’s of Spruce Pine.
Born on August 25, 1943 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Glenn and Nellie Grindstaff Hise. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Diane Young Hise who passed away in 2021.
Bob attended the Roan Mountain Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Buck Stove and he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved spending time with his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching western movies, Star Trek, Nascar Racing and he was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He also enjoyed welding, drinking coffee and playing poker on his computer.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter; Marissa Kai Hise of Spruce Pine and his grandson; Luke Edwards of Spruce Pine.
A service will be planned for the spring of 2025.
