Claude Lewis Sparks, age 82, of Circle Lane in Marion, formerly of Bakersville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab in Black Mountain.
Born on October 2, 1942 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Tulsa and Rosa Hoilman Sparks. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Barnett Sparks who passed away in 2013 and a son, Allen Barnett
Claude enjoyed loafing, being with his friend and eating meals with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his son; Paul Newton and wife, Rana of Marion and his grandsons; Allen and Jesse Newton of Marion.
A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.
