Lena Smith Love, age 92, of Feldspar Street in Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on January 25, 1933 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Todd and Ora Lee Woody Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Love and her brothers; Buford, Carl ‘Buddy’, Bobby and Louie Smith.
Lena was a member of the Berry Chapel Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Faye Love of Spruce Pine, her son; Billy Love of Mooresboro, NC, her sisters; Lila Baskin of Spruce Pine, Beulah Blalock of Micaville and Gladys Buchanan of Valdese, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Webb Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Berry Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
