Mary Anne Miller

Mary Anne Miller of the Pensacola community passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 after a period of declining health.

She was the daughter and last child of the late Hobert and Mae (Mathis) McPeters. Mary Anne was predeceased by her husband, Ray, in 2016. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Ray, Wayne, and Carol McPeters, as well as sisters Jessie Landecker, Berlyn Allen, Iris Young, and two sisters who died in infancy, Vaughtie and Dale McPeters.

Surviving are daughter Deborah Miller Thomas (Tommy) of Columbia, SC; sons Keith Miller of Pensacola, NC, and Randy Miller (Jeannie) also of Pensacola. Additionally, Mary Anne is survived by her grandchildren Danielle Miller (Josh Riddle) of Pensacola, Benjamin Thomas (Marshall Liger) of Charleston, SC, and Tyler Miller (Kasey) of Pensacola. Also surviving are step grandchildren Melanie Bennett (Jason) of Jack’s Creek, and Michael “Bo” Davis (Casey) of Green Mountain. Great grandchildren Mason Silver, Cynburlei Williams, Zaydrian Williams, Carter Bennett, Callie Bennett, Charlie Bennett, Fiona Davis, Van Davis, and Archer Davis also survive Mary Anne, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary Anne was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend whose kind and gentle influence will live on through those fortunate to know her. She loved flowers, gardening, animals, travel, quilting, reading, and completing jigsaw puzzles. Mary Anne was always happiest spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren whom she loved beyond measure.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers who provided her with loving care over the past two and a half years. Kathy Boone, Rita Higgins, Cheryl Morrin, and Rhoda Witt became members of the Miller family as they faithfully cared for Mary Anne with gentleness and compassion. We would also like to thank Compassionate Care of Western North Carolina for their kindness and support during this challenging time.
