The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Robert Bruce Hileman, age 33 of Jack Sullins Rd Spruce Pine. Mitchell County detectives were investigating Hileman for a prior breaking and entering in Mitchell County and had a warrant for him for felony larceny that the Spruce Pine Police Department had issued. Officers were able to stop Hileman near Chalk Mountain on U.S. Route 19E. During the stop, some of the stolen property was recovered. Hileman was charged with the following:
Possess Methamphetamine
Felony B & E
Larceny after B&E
Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
Possess Stolen Property
Simple Possession of Vi (Marijuana)
Possess Drug Paraphernalia
Resist Public Officer (4 CT’s)
Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Communicating Threats
Hileman’s court date is April 2nd. His bond is set at $45,000.
