Ralph Crawford

Ralph Crawford, age 83, of Buladean, passed away at his home with his loving wife of 63 years by his side. A native of Mitchell County, he was a son of the late Edgar and Myrtle Gouge Crawford. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Crawford, and a nephew, Doug Crawford.
Ralph enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing, watching NASCAR and hunting with his grandsons, and gardening. He was a wonderful storyteller and enjoyed sharing his stories with friends and family. More than anything, his family was his world and he loved them more than anything, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love and kindness made him a one-of-a-kind man and will never be forgotten.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ethel Louise Gouge Crawford, and two daughters: Deborah Tomack (Jeff) of Jacksonville, FL, and Rhonda Valls (David) of Buladean; two grandchildren: D.J. Valls (Becky) of Buladean and Anthony Valls (Olivia) of Ledger; three great-grandchildren: Alyssa Valls, Trey Valls, and Gabby; niece, Lori Edwards (Mason); and two great-nieces: Jordan Edwards and Macy Edwards. He is survived as well by several other extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 3rd at Gouge Cemetery on Gouge Cove Road in Glen Ayre. Pastor Trent Honeycutt and Pastor Mike Peterson will officiate.
