Chester Henson, age 87 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025, at his home.
Born on January 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Zeb and May Bell Barnard Henson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his life-long partner, Christine Harding; sister, Ruby Jean Henson; brother R.D. Henson; and nephews David & Drennon Henson.
Left to cherish his memory are his granddaughters, Aleshia Harding and Gracie Harding of Burnsville, NC, and Crystal (Robin) Stith of Elizabeth City, NC; great-grandsons: Malaki Harding and Henry Stith; nieces: Brenda (Michael) Zebrowski, and Sasha (Heath) Briggs, Waverly Briggs, Janice Henson, Jena (Adam) Shade, and Jackie (Joey) Shade; and nephews: David Jay Henson, Darrel (Brittney) Wilson, and Joseph (Rachel) Shade.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service for visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with the service following at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Bobby Silver will be officiating. Interment will be held the following day at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11th, 2025, in the Marietta Adkins Cemetery in Burnsville, NC.
