Mrs. Jessie Louise Hollifield, age 73 of Hickory, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at UNC Health Blue Ridge – Valdese Hospital in Burke County, NC.
Born on November 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bernice and Sara McMahan Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Hollifield.
Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that anyone could ever ask for. She loved the Lord, her family, and her little baby dogs called Jake and Cami. Her dogs held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed crocheting, making necklace crafts, and singing karaoke with all the family. She was a support system when anyone needed a little love, she was a shoulder to cry on, and the most loving person you could ever meet. Although we will miss her so much, we are comforted by knowing that Jessie is rejoicing in Heaven today with her husband and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Pam (Don) Solarek, Joey (Stacy) Hollifield, Riley (Kathy) Hollifield, Vicki Cooper, Judy (Danny Jones) Hollifield, Billy (Christy) Hollifield, Bobby Hollifield; grandchildren: Bradley (Jenni) Williams, Shell (Jonathan Norris) Hollifield, Alissa (David Huffman) Willis, Kaitlyn Hollifield, Abby Hollifield, Harlee Hollifield, Noah Hollifield, Amber (Levi) Blake, Jamie (Brooke) Lewis, Riley (Kelsey) Hollifield, Anthony (Charlean) Cooper, and Kacey Cooper; great-grandchildren: Cora, Adalynn, Cash, Justice, Abigail, Ella, Buretta, Annika; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will accept friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service following. Interment will be held after the service in the cemetery at Gouge’s Creek Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, NC. Rev. Tommy Thomas will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jessie’s honor to assist the family with funeral costs.
