Mitchell County Schools proudly hosted the Be Pro Be Proud Simulator Experience April 1-4. This state-of-the-art trailer features a range of interactive simulators that allow students to experience various scenarios. Students in grades 8-12 were able to get hands-on with an 18-wheeler, articulated dump truck, and forestry equipment. They also had access to VR simulators of welding, utility lineman, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and a robotic arm. Students were also encouraged to sign up on the website to learn more about each career and postsecondary education opportunities that could help them achieve employment in that career.
