On May 18th at 2 PM, the First Presbyterian Church, located at 120 Church Street is hosting a benefit concert for the Reconcilation House. Local musicians will present a variety of musical selections in the beautiful Sanctuary. A free will donation will go directly to support the many services Reconciliation House offers to the community.
Reconcilation House is a nondenominational Christian outreach ministry serving Yancey County in Western North Carolina since 1983. Their mission is to provide physical assistance to families in crisis situations which includes food, clothing, heating, and utility bills.
The affects of Helene’s destruction are still very evident throughout the county. Many of our neighbors are still recovering and will need continued assistance through the immediate future. This will be an enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
