Erlene Wright, 74, of the Jacks Creek Community, joined her son in her Heavenly home on May 21st, 2025, with her Savior.
She was the daughter of her beloved mother, Ruth Dulaney; as well as her grandparents: James Lucius and Dora Hughes Dulaney.
“She was the sweetest person alive,” all who met her would say.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, William Wright; mother, Ruth Dulaney; two sisters: baby girl Black, and Judy; nephew, James (Peanut) Biggs; brother-in-law, father, parents-in-law and other family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Archie Wright; daughter, Mary Ann Cramp; son-in-love, Mike Cramp; grandchildren: Emily and Sarah Cramp; adopted grandchild, Caitlin Canff; sister, Nancy Biggs; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Carolyn and Scotty Morgan, and Devoid and Janet Wright. Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins survive her as well.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27th, in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Pastor Donnie Bryant and Pastor Dale Laws will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery on John Henry Road. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
