Kenneth Wayne Lankford, age 68, of the Bent Creek community passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 16, 2025. Kenneth was a son of the late Paul and Brenda Porter Lankford. He is preceded by three brothers; Terry Lankford, Larry Lankford and Paul Lankford.
Kenneth was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Weaverville. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, the Atlanta Braves and Mustang cars. He was a hard worker, a good person and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by a son: William Lankford of Candler; daughter: Amanda Lankford of Asheville; one grand-daughter; Desiree Fox of Weaverville; and one great-grand-daughter; Raelynn McDay of Weaverville; He is also survived by the mother of his children: Karen Lankford of Candler; along with a host of extended family including: Todd McMahan, Cynthia Wilson, Tony McMahan Jr. (Robin), Tony McMahan Sr. and Tara Warner; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
