April M. Silvers, age 43, of the South Toe community went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. She was the daughter of Jupiter and Mary Lou Silvers. April is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Isaac Silvers and an uncle, Charles Silvers.
April loved her family more than anything. Especially her children. She loved taking them swimming anywhere they could but she really enjoyed going to the beach. April had a green thumb and was always excited to grow new flowers each year. She was such a lively and happy person with such a huge heart. April never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts, like diamond arts for her friends and family. April will be missed and loved by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her children: Ryleigh Holloway, Cheyenne Gurley, Michael Gurley and Dalton Gurley, all of South Toe; brother, Matthew Sterling Silvers (Christina); nieces: Landri and Natalie Silvers; on the mothers side, aunts: Susan Duke and Sunshine Burleson; uncle, William Silvers; on the fathers side; uncles: Kenneth, Chris, Greg and Daniel Robinson; aunts: Deitra Smith and Laklan Robinson; a maternal grandmother, Julia Robinson; paternal grandfather, Dewey Robinson; a paternal step-grandmother, Geneva Robinson; Aprils best friend, Stephanie “Cricket” Smith and close friend Joan Westall. Numerous cousins and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Pastor Keith Blankenship. Burial will follow in the Andrew Silvers cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ethan Silvers, Rylie Blankenship, Zack Shuford, Jeremy Stevens, Edward Silvers and James Silvers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial donations be made to Yancey Funeral Services to help the family with expenses. The family would like to extend an enormous “thank you” to all who have showed them love and support over the last few days by calling or coming by, it has meant so much.
