Lindsey Walton Young, age 82 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Born on December 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Linwood and Lucy Brown Young. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Hiram Thomas Young; sister, Minnie Louise Krauss; and two grandchildren: Lindsey W. Young, Scarlet Paige Shrewsbury.
After retirement, Lindsey achieved his dream of getting his CDL license and drove a truck for several years.
He accomplished riding his motorcycle to all the lower 48 states, including the Route 66 Run. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and loved Harley Davidson all his life. Lindsey was a very family-oriented man and was an active UAW worker and retiree.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his son, Linwood (Lisa) Young; daughter, Brenda Lee (David) Houston; his life-long companion, McIva Young; brother, Charles Young; grandchildren: Logan Scott Young, Cheyenne Madison (Robert) Lemon, Petty Officer 3rd Class Darrius Trey Houston, and Ashlyn Corinne Houston; great-grandchildren: Mason Andrew Lemon, Theodore Grant Lemon, and Benjamin Reed; as well as many dear friends that he rode motorcycles with, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.
