SIZZLIN’ SUMMER SERIES – Bikes and Wheels

bikes-and-wheels-2024-296

Get ready to roll! Bikes and Wheels, the beloved Sizzlin’ Summer Series event, is back and better than ever. Bring your bikes, scooters, rollerblades, tricycles, wheelchairs—or anything else with wheels—and join us for an action-packed day of movement, laughter, and community spirit on the Burnsville Town Square from 9-11am this Saturday!

The street will be closed to all vehicle traffic, turning the Town Square into a safe, open playground for wheel-lovers of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re just learning to ride or ready to show off your skills, there’s something for everyone. Navigate through exciting obstacle courses, join in on friendly races, and explore a variety of wheel-based games and challenges designed for all experience levels.

Want a refreshing treat after all that riding? Hop on the Fender-Blender smoothie bike—a pedal-powered blender that lets you mix your own smoothie just by riding! It’s a tasty and interactive way to have a healthy, sweet treat while keeping the fun going.

Helmets are required for all wheeled activities—but don’t worry if you don’t have one! Visit the helmet fitting station, where free helmets will be available for kids and adults to take home. Trained staff will ensure a proper fit so you can ride safely and confidently.

Plus roll on over to the Toe River Valley Regional Library Bookmobile and find a book that will keep the wheels of your imagination turning!
