Treasures in the Pines held their official ribbon cutting on Thursday morning, August 7th,  barely short of one year since their building was flooded and destroyed during Hurricane Helene. Owner Cheryl Buchanan (cutting the ribbon) said it has been a difficult road to go from a mud filled building with everything inside destroyed to where they are today.  The store has been moved  from 125 Locust Street to 209 Locust Street (also known as Lower Street in Spruce Pine). Treasures in the Pines is filled with one of a kind items that you can’t find anywhere else. Cheryl thanks the many people who have helped her to get the store back up and running and invites all of her customers and everyone else to come by and take a look.
