The Toe River Chamber Ensemble, our vibrant local community orchestra, is preparing to kick off its new season. Under the direction of Kevin Paul, the ensemble brings together about 25 dedicated musicians who rehearse once a week throughout the year.
We’re currently welcoming new instrumentalists—especially violinists—who are interested in joining the group. If you play an orchestral instrument at a high school level or above, you’re likely to find the experience both rewarding and fun. The Ensemble, which draws members from Yancey, Mitchell, Madison, and Buncombe Counties, includes musicians of all ages and backgrounds. With nearly 50 years of music-making in its history, TRCE is a cornerstone of the local arts community.
Rehearsals for the upcoming season begin on September 2, 2025, and the fall concert is scheduled for October 28.
