Carol Ann Robinson

Carol Ann Robinson, age 65, of Ledger passed away at home, peacefully in her sleep on September 1, 2025.

Born on October 29, 1959, she was one of eleven children and was the daughter of the late Phil and Marcella Sparks Duncan

She grew up almost half a mile from her current home in a very large family. She always loved Ledger and was proud to call it home again. She would tell stories of her, the brothers, and sisters all working in the garden or tending to each other. She loved the memories they made from joking with each other to marble matches.

Through the years she became a wife, a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother, an aunt, and a friend to many. She cherished her friends and visits from family, worrying about them before herself. She enjoyed yard sales especially with her sisters and special friend, Judy Gouge. The sisters would all compete for the best deals around.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-five years; Jeffrey Robinson of Ledger, her daughter; Brandy Boone of Spruce Pine, grandchildren; Tequila and Ransom Ledford, and one great grandchild, her proudest moment, Jameson Boone. Surviving siblings include; Carl Gouge, Ileane Burleson and husband, Russell, Kenneth Duncan and wife, Sandy, Daryl ‘Kebbie’ Duncan and wife, Rhonda. She was an aunt and great aunt to many throughout the years. She knew each of them by name and kept up with their adventures. Cousins and extended family have kept up and visited as well. She made an impression on many people for her kindness.

The funeral service for Carol Robinson will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev’s. Chris Rathbone, Larry Greene and Blake Glenn officiating.
