Karen Creasman Stevens, age 64, of Blowing Rock, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20th, 2025. She was a daughter of the late Bobby James and Marjorie Cordell Creasman.
Karen’s career of 15 years was spent in quality control at Baxter Laboratories. She loved being an aunt, and enjoyed showering her nieces and nephews with gifts. Some of her hobbies included reading, collecting dolls, listening to country music, and watching NASCAR racing. Karen leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss her deeply, but will hold her in their hearts.
Surviving are her siblings: Tim Creasman (Penny) of Burnsville and Kathy Whorten of Spindale; two nieces: Brittney Pitman (Cody) of Spruce Pine, Melissa Hughes of Canton; a nephew, Brian Hughes (Jill) of Jacksonville, NC; five great-nieces and great-nephews: Peyton, Lincoln, Faith, Brayden and Maci; and special friends, John Stevens (Linda) and Melissa Presnell.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
