Scott Howard Hutchison, age 61 of Mars Hill, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, NC, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Born on November 25, 1963, in Miami, Florida, he was the son of the late Charles and Shirley Hutchison.
Scott worked for the Port of Miami in the Maintenance Department and graduated from Miami Norland Senior High School in 1982. He had a deep love for the Appalachian Mountains, where he enjoyed hiking and exploring creeks with his best friend, his dog Rebel. Scott also loved sitting on his porch, waving to passing cars. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda and Heather; four grandchildren; his brother, Charles (Cynthia Gayle) Hutchison of Burnsville, NC; his sister, Elizabeth Hart of Lakeland, Florida; and his uncle, Buddy and Aunt List of Marion, NC.
No services are being held at this time.
