Glenda Jean McMahan, age 76 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born on September 20th, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clinas and Jewell Ray Autrey.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmie Autrey and Dennis Autrey, as well as her stepdaughter, Claudett McMahan.
Glenda was known for her strong work ethic, having dedicated over 21 years of service to Hardee’s. Her kindness and warmth were evident to all who met her; she truly never knew a stranger. Above all, she was a devoted mother whose love and guidance will be deeply missed by her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Ronnie McMahan; her sons: Randy Ogle and Brandon (Brinkley) Ogle, both of Burnsville, NC; daughters, Sandra Fox and Miranda Fox, both of the South Toe Community of Burnsville, NC; brothers: Michael Autrey of Spruce Pine, NC, and Ronnie (Melissa) Autrey of Nashville, TN; sister, Brenda K. Autrey of Burnsville, NC; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her best friend Kathy Freemon, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice of WNC, and to the dedicated nurses, doctors, and staff for their exceptional care and support during Glenda’s last days.
Private family services will be held.
