| As of 12:01 AM on Saturday, November 1, Democrats in the Senate have failed to vote to fund the government and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is suspended until further notice.
Until the 60-vote threshold is reached in the Senate, 1.4 million SNAP beneficiaries in North Carolina will not have access to the benefits that help keep food on the table. If you or someone you know is impacted by this lapse in federal funding, please utilize the resources below. Throughout the shutdown, my office remains open and working for NC-11. If you have questions about federal casework or any other matter requiring assistance, please contact my office at 865-EDWARDS. We are here to help. |
