What: A guided hike to Upper Creek Falls in Newland, led by Environment North Carolina. Participants will explore the roadless Linville Gorge Wilderness area, learn about the ecological and policy importance of roadless areas in our state. This and other wild forests across North Carolina and the United States are under threat because USDA Secretary Rollins announced plans to rescind the Roadless Rule. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign petitions that support the protection of these vulnerable landscapes.
