Michael David “Mike” Masten, age 43, of Buchanan Drive in Bakersville, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at his home.
Born on May 27, 1982 in Charles County, MD, he was the son of the late Carolyn Howell Masten. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Masten.
‘Big Mike’ as he was known by his family and friends, was the owner of Masten Online Automobile Sales and Repair. He attended Central Baptist Church in Spruce Pine. He enjoyed all kinds of music and was an avid car enthusiast. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them and enjoyed being with people.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Jessica Anderson of the home, his children; Chris Masten, Aja Masten and Evan Stewart of Bakersville and Lily Masten of New Caney, TX, his father; Robert Masten, his sisters; Sidney, Kimberly, Michelle, Susan, Kristina, Victoria, Ashley, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Catherine, and his brothers; Sean, Anthony, David, Matthew, Jonathan, Robert, Jr. and Billy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
