Mars Hill University will recognize its summer and fall graduates during its commencement ceremony on Friday, December 12, 2025. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Moore Auditorium and will be livestreamed on the university’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/@MarsHillU.
Speakers for the event will be Ashlin Mathews Hensley, a health and human performance major from Burnsville, North Carolina, and Brent Townsend, chair of the university’s board of trustees and a 2002 Mars Hill graduate.
Earlier in the day the university will recognize Heritage Students—graduates whose parents or other immediate family members are Mars Hill alumni—by presenting them a special cord to wear with their cap and gown regalia.
Mars Hill University holds two graduation ceremonies each year: one in May for graduates who complete their degrees in the spring semester, and one in December for graduates who complete degree requirements during the summer or fall terms.
