Hallmark is issuing a casting call for local residents to appear as paid extras in its newest holiday movie, “A Biltmore Christmas,” set to film at the Biltmore Estate. This is a sequel to the 2023 movie, featuring stars Holland Roden and Niall Matter, with Jonathan Frakes reprising his role, promising more Gilded Age romance.

The family-friendly film takes place partly in the present day and partly in the 1940s, and producers are looking for people of all ages — from children around 7 years old to adults in their 70s.

Extras will earn $120 for an eight-hour day, with overtime pay available for any work beyond that. According to casting details, shooting is scheduled from January 12 through February 2, and participants must be flexible, as some filming days could last up to 12 hours.

To apply, interested applicants should email casting director Marty Cherrix at cherrixcastingnc@gmail.com with the subject line “Hallmark.” Submissions should include a recent photo, full name, age, phone number, height, weight, and complete clothing sizes — including shoe size.

Hallmark will continue booking extras throughout the filming period, so those who don’t receive an immediate reply are encouraged to remain patient as casting continues into February. The movie is expected to be released in late 2026.
