The Mitchell County Public Transportation Authority has announced a modification in the stops being made by the Pine Line route in Spruce Pine.
As of today, January 12, the regular stop the bus made at the U.S. Cellular location in the Spruce Pine Shopping Center is no longer scheduled. The route will now go from the Mitchell YMCA to Walmart. However, riders on the Pine Line can request that the bus make a stop at the Spruce Pine Shopping Center and they will be accommodated. This is a permanent change to the Pine Line route.
