Cane River Middle School students show off their new instruments that were recently purchased thanks to a grant from the Mountain Air Community Foundation. This grant enabled the Middle School Band Program to buy two clarinets, two flutes, two snare drums, and two sets of percussion mallets. The instruments will increase the opportunity for more students to participate in Band at both middle schools as they will be shared between the two programs.
Yancey County Schools Board of Education, Leadership, the faculty and staff at EYMS and CRMS, Band Director Chase Constance and the band students would like to thank the Mountain Air Community Foundation Board and Mountain Air residents for their generous donation to the music program.
