David McCoy Piercy, 76, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC.
David was born on August 26, 1949, in Avery County, NC to the late Allen Piercy and Etta Wise Piercy.
Born on August 26, 1949, David was a Vietnam Veteran who spent his career working with jewelry. He was known for his steadfast kindness toward his family and neighbors. He held a personal passion for music and photography.
He is survived by his siblings, Wanda Piercy Carpenter of Newland, Dianne Piercy Branch of Marion, Rinda Piercy of Newland, Martha Piercy of Newland, Dwight McKinney of Marion, Angela Dale LaNasa, Betty Cole of Ohio, and Myril Wilson of Burnsville.
In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold private services.
