Mitchell wrestling will travel to East Wilkes Tuesday to take on Allegheny in round 3 of the State 2A Dual Team wrestling playoffs.
Wrestling for round 1 is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
The winner will advance to route 4 with a chance to become the West Regional Champions and face off against the East Champions for a State title.
This past weekend Mitchell wrestlers participated in 1A/2A Individual championships. Three Mountaineers finished in the top four to advance the state individual Championships this coming weekend in Greensboro.
Advancing to represent Mitchell and the State championships were Bryson McFalls,Erris Crone, and Tristan Phelps. McFalls won his second straight Regional title, while Crone and Philips finished third and 4th respectively.
Wrestling for the State Championships will get underway Friday at the Greensboro coliseum.
