Janina Darlene Robinson, age 43, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19th, 2026 at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Janina was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents who raised her: Kathleen and Ottis Hudgins; a daughter, Sarah Dawn Carpenter.
Janina was a one-of-a-kind soul whose presence could never be ignored and will never be forgotten. She lived her life with a boldness and energy that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for her goofy personality, her loud laughter, and her enthusiastic spirit that could light up any room. Janina was unapologetically herself, stubborn at times, but in a way that showed her strength, determination, and deep sense of who she was. She found joy in singing and playing the piano any chance, she got. Janina also loved thrift shopping, always finding little treasures and beauty in unexpected places. Above all, Janina was loving and caring, with a beautiful soul that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a fighter through and through, facing life’s challenges with courage and resilience. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Gary Robinson (Julie) of Prices Creek and Louise Hudgins of Arbuckle; husband, Bo Branch; daughters: Sasha Varela (Kurtis) of Unicoi, TN and Juliana Martinez of Spruce Pine, NC; brother, Dustin Sparks; niece, Aurora Sparks; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins but two very close and special cousins are: Tina Ray (Michael) and Marietta Hughes; many special friends but one very close friend is, Crystal Riddle; Janina is also survived by her “grandpuppers”, Daisy and Coco.
