The Mountain Piecemakers Quilt Guild will be meeting in the side room of the Burnsville Town Center on Tuesday May 12 at 6 pm for social time and 6:30 for business/program. We are beginning the sale of tickets for our 2026 Opportunity Quilt. Members will have tickets to sell or you can buy tickets online at our website, https://mpqg.wildapricot.org. This month we will have a zoom presentation by Lisa Erlandson of her antique quilt collection called “Northern Lady or Southern Belle.” Lisa has been a certified quilt appraiser for over 20 years, a collector of antique quilts and a quilt historian. We meet in the Burnsville Town Center at 6 S. Main St Burnsville. Our members come from Madison, Mitchell and Yancey Counties. Basic skills classes will be held on the 4th Tuesday afternoons using Quilt Academy 1 material for members who are beginning quilters starting Sept 23. At the 4th Tuesday Sew Day members gather to sew their own projects and make Linus quilts. A sew along together using Scrappy Triangles book by Leila Gardunia will be a year long project. New members and visitors are welcome to join us Tuesday May 12 at 6 pm in the Town Center.
