Overwhelming Response To COVID Vaccine Clinics

Overwhelming response in both Mitchell and Yancey counties to the vaccine clinics has led to long lines and  traffic jams. Cars began lining up around 4 am in Yancey County yesterday. By 7:30 people were being turned away and told to come back after noon. At 12:30 Yancey Health Department was again at full capacity and had to shut down the clinic. Bakersville Woman Charged With Boyfriend’s Death

Forty-three year old Robin Daniels Eudy of Bakersville has been arrested and charged with death of her boyfriend, Joshua Brandon Pritchard. On Thursday, January 14, 2021, shortly after 8 p.m., deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Wildrose Drive in Marion where they found the lifeless body of 37 year old Joshua Brandon Pritchard.
