Mitchell County Industrial Site Has Been Purchased

The Mitchell County Economic Development Commission has announced that Krantz Industries, of St. James, New York, has purchased the Mitchell County Industrial Site. The 14.71 acre site is located at 291 Cisco Drive in Spruce Pine. Krantz Industries in partnership with PRC Industries of Spruce Pine is planning industrial expansion initiatives on their newly acquired  site in the near future. ...(more)

Burnsville Town Offices Reopen

The utility billing window at Burnsville Town Hall will reopen on Monday June 1st  for customer payments. Counties are starting to receive coronavirus relief funds. Ninety-seven of North Carolina’s counties will receive funding through the state’s 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Act, which established a $300-million Local Government Coronavirus Reserve.
