Mitchell Sheriff’s Report 5/2 – 5/9/20

Eric Eugene Houck, 42, of 55 Trails Inn, Marion NC. Mitchell County Deputies arrested Houck for Traffic related offenses for outstanding warrants issued from McDowell County. Drive thru testing Coming to Yancey and Mitchell Counties

Drive thru testing for COVID-19 started last week in Avery County and the Toe River Health District says they will soon be conducting drive through testing in Mitchell and Yancey Counties too. Counties to Receive COVID-19 Funds

Ninety-seven of North Carolina’s counties will receive funding through the state’s 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Act, which established a $300-million Local Government Coronavirus Reserve.
